24.01.25 Y4 Learning of the Week
It’s been another full week of amazing learning. We are really sinking our teeth into learning about our chimps, what they do and we’re beginning to think about how to manage them better. Thank you to everyone who has made a parent’s evening appointment. We cannot wait to have time with you to talk about your wonderful children. If you haven’t made an appointment to see us already, then please do!
Writing:
In our writing, the children have been working so hard to write in accurate sentences to form paragraphs around a theme. Not only that, but they have gained so much knowledge about Antarctica! Ask them what they know, and you will really be surprised.
Maths:
As the last week of our multiplication and division unit draws to a close, we are so proud of how well the classes have persevered with the division method – as it is a tough-one and draws on a lot of knowledge! We cannot wait to see how well they apply all their varied knowledge to the CLIC tests each week too.
Guided Reading:
We are deep into our guided reading book now, Cloud Busting. The children were shocked after reading chapter 8! It was a definite plot twist.
Y4GH:
Star of the Week is for Louie. He has been so positive and it has been great having him in school on it with his learning.
The Learning Principle postcard is for Olivia and is Make Links. In her writing this week she was able to take the notes given about Antarctica and independently write an accurate paragraph.
Y4MB
The Learning Principle (Enjoy Challenge) postcard was given to Ivy. This is because she is always so smiley, positive and always applies herself to anything she is given!
Star of the Week is Amina as she is just an absolute always child, and always has a smile and positive remark for everybody!
PE Star of the Week: This week, the PE star of the week is for Corey. In his PE lessons he is always doing good listening, works really hard and demonstrates excellent leadership skills.
