Visual Notes

We have been looking at visual notes in our art lessons.

In our last three week's arts lessons, we have been looking at making visual notes where we are inspired by text and words and our interpretations of them. One of the first things we learnt as a new skill was using continuous line drawings to recreate a pose - and then short sharp lines to a beat to do the same thing.

In this week's lessons we chose the poem to inspire the 3D model we will be creating. We either chose The Scorpion, The Crocodile or The Cow with Wings by Roald Dahl from the compilation Dirty Beasts. We used a combination of pencil sketches, fine line drawings and watercolours to create affect, movement, feeling and shading.
