We had a great day at Kelham Island - here are some photos of the learning we did.
These are the spellings that the children are learning this week. There will be a test of them on Friday.
On Wednesday 18th September, the Year 2 are visiting Kelham Island to learn about Sheffield and the Industrial Revolution. We do need all the permissions filled out online for the children to attend. If you have not yet completed the permission for your child please could you do so.
Children will need to bring a bag to carry their packed lunch and can bring a packed lunch from home or get a pick and mix from school. Children will need to bring their own drink.
Thank you.
We have had some brilliant reading from some of our children : Rindazin, Arllie, Eoin, Evie, Laawi, Maryam, Pearl, Pippa, Yousef, Yunus B, Uno, Ava, Chioma and Bethany. We would really every child in Year 2 to be reading at least 4 times every week. This is part of their regular home learning to complete and we will count the reads every Friday.
PE star of the week was Aarav.
Post cards were for Uno and Husnain.
We have had a great first week at school. All children should have brought home a reading diary and reading book. Next week we will start counting reads at home with the expectation that they read 4 times a week. All children should have also brought home their beat that test, most children have got very low scores, they will build on this and practising at home will help. On Monday we will give all children 10 times table cards to practise at home.
We gave postcards to Riley and Hameem.
Year 2 are planning an exciting visit to Kelham Island Museum. We can't wait!
