W/C 29th Sept
Another great week of effort and learning.
The good weeks just keep on happening! You should be so so proud of your children. We cannot wait to see you all for parents evening next week!
Art
We are moving onto the final section of our art lessons now – tessellation. On Wednesday, we used a range of different shapes to explore repeating patterns and create a tessellated pattern – inspired by the kaleidoscopic work of artist Andy Gilmore!
Computing
Can you believe we have already finished our first computing unit and are now onto our second? We began the unit with recapping and exploring all that we know about Scratch. In Year Three, we learnt about algorithms and how to use the different block types to give a sequence of actions to our sprite. This year we are moving onto debugging and decomposition (breaking down the algorithms and identifying any issues ready to fix!)
Indoor PE
Over the past few weeks, we have learnt how to do successful rotational jumps, partner and individual balances and even began to put these into a sequence. Next week, we are going to try and make a super sequence with starting and finishing positions and different levels and directions!
Y4GH
This week’s postcard goes to Tiwa for learning together. Since we have started in year four, we have been spending a lot of time sharing our ideas with our partners, and tackling challenges together. Tiwa’s engagement with her partner has really increased and this has seen her learning progression increase! Keep it up, Tiwa!
Y4MB
Our postcard of the week is for Zainab: Be Positive. She has an all-round positive attitude both in class and socially. Everything she does, she does it with a smile. It is wonderful to see.
