What a fantastic day we had at Murton Park! The children became Anglo-Saxons for the day and we contributed to the life of an Anglo-Saxon village, as well as helping Brother Alric and Sister Edith from the church. We made candles, did some excellent Anglo-Saxon writing, played dice games (we weren't gambling - promise!) and even guarded the village. Thank goodness we had trained, because a Viking spy tried to enter whilst we were there! We soon chased him off!
Zeus spent Monday and Tuesday with Shatw.
Zues and Shatw had a fun day out together! They started by going shopping, where Zues got to ride in the trolley while Shatw picked out some yummy things to bring home. After that, they spent time at the park, running around and enjoying the fresh air. To finish off their adventure, they visited a restaurant, where they shared tasty food and lots of smiles. It was a perfect day full of fun, laughter, and friendship!
Zeus had some quality time with Amina.
What a week!
Here are a selection of photographs from our last two weeks of learning. We have some maths, PE, art, history and even some drama!
What an amazing week!
Your chance to name and keep this magnificent bear!
Hello! This is Walter Cliffe. He doesn't really like his name (he thinks it is old-fashioned and a bit boring) so he asked if the children of Watercliffe would come up with his new name at the Carnival. If you enter, and your name is chosen, you get to keep Walter forever! He is house-trained and brilliant at cuddles!
Once again, your children have done themselves proud.
On Wednesday, our wonderful classes travelled to Mayfield Valley by coach. They were there to complete a comparison study and carry out surveys. They also had a lovely picnic and it culminated with a play on the park.
Again, your children have been brilliant.
We have had another active week. We completed digestion experiments (which was messy!), a local visit walk to complete surveys, editing and improving; as well as using angle measurers in maths!
