Friday superstars

A very spooky hello this week from Year 3. Today, we enjoyed our Halloween cosy read and looked amazing in our Halloween dress up! In Maths we finished off our work on addition and subtraction and are now officially addition and subtraction wizards. We also looked at rocks in Science, carrying out experiments to decide if they were igneous, sedimentary or metamorphic.
CLIC Y3JB – Three maximum scores this week, well done to Heidi M, Cayde and Arlo. Record scores as well this week for Ruby G, Willow and Ruby W
CLIC Y3KB- Some more maximum scores this week from both Adam and Seth. Also quite a few high scores of the half term. Well done Jibraeel, Zehra, Rumailah, Leo, Summer and Sky.
Beat That Y3JB- A really good week this week to end the half-term. Not many record scores but everyone did consistently well. A maximum 24 out of 24 for Cayde and a record score for Roman.
Beat That Y3KB- Our average has gone downhill slightly compared to previous weeks. However, another maximum score for Seth and improved scores for Murtaza, Aubrey, Aseya and Jood. We really need children to be learning their times tables at home!
Spellings Y3JB- Lots of great scores in spellings this week. Maximum scores for all these children: Heidi A, Darcie A, Cayde, Darcie M, Alabbas and Ameerah.
Spellings Y3KB- High scores from both spelling groups this week. Maximum scores for Murtaza, Rumailah, Aseya, Seth, Ezrah and Grayson.
Postcards
Y3JB - Our Value being Special postcard this week goes to Arlo. You are showing lots of maturity in your learning behaviours, particularly in your writing where you are taking risks and trying new vocabulary.
Y3KB - Our postcard goes to Jibraeel this week. Since parents evening, he has been working hard on making careful choices in the classroom, with both his learning and keeping focussed throughout lessons. Keep it up Jibraeel!
PE Star - Our PE star this week is Ameerah for always being positive in her EVO lessons and listening to instructions perfectly.
Weekly reads:
All children have been given learning journals to record their reads. We ask for the children to aim to read 4 times a week and record it on the relevant page which can be done by the children themselves or the adults at home.
Y3JB- We have a new record people, 19 people managed four or more reads this week. Can we get the whole class?! Superstar reading award to Mansoor, Muhmin, Omar, Yoseph, Jessica, Roman, Ruby G, JJ, Arlo, Muqeet, Eshaal, Cayde, Ahmed, Heidi M, Willow, Lexi, Ruby W, Savannah and Alabbas.
Y3KB- Not a brilliant week for reading in our class. Only 9 children this week have recorded their reads at home. A huge congratulations to Jibraeel, Adam, Olivia, Leo, Anabiyah, Aubrey, Seth, Bietial and Ezrah for all reading at home this week. Some of these children have already achieved 40 reads for Autumn term which is a fantastic achievement!
