In Year 1 we have been making levers and sliders to show how a letter is delivered. We have been talking about sliders and levers on objects in our home and around school. We are looking forward to showing our work to our parents and carers when we have our D&T presentation day on Monday 17th March. You will receive a letter with all the information about this day.
Well done Jesse for working hard to solve problems in maths. You showed good concentration when you were estimating which numbers were missing on a number line. We are so proud of you.
Red Noses is Friday 21st March 2025.

In Y1 we have started our new learning all around sliders and levers. We started the design process this week and enjoyed using the split pin to make a leaver mechanism.
We are planning an exciting trip to Bolsover Castle. You can find all the info here!
Y1 went to Sheffield City Centre to learn how we can use the library to borrow books and get better at reading. We loved exploring the 'Winter Gardens' to find sculptures and discuss what materials they were made from. We also found different methods of communication in the city and we posted a letter.
We had a great time on our visit to the city centre. We used public transport, visited the library and explored the winter gardens.
