Some fantastic home learnings before half term and this week.
Jaxson, Wren (and his big brother Luther), Mehki and Areen have made some fantastic models!
Eric has done some measuring as well.
This week we are sending home some sheets to support phonics learning. If you scan the QR codes they will take you to a video to practice the focus sounds. I have attached the sheet that will be going home tomorrow. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
Yesterday both classes went up to the top yard and pick up sticks for our latest gold coin reward.
We are so impressed with the way the children have come back to school after the half term, showing a really positive attitude to learning. They have settled in well into their new Read, Write, Inc. groups and are working really hard at their phonics. We are also seeing good talk partner work and some very creative minds during out new Design and Technology unit!
Keep it up year 1!
It was lovely to see some parents in class this morning. Please see the dates for the rest of this half term.
Some more great emails this week!

Poppy has been using buried treasure as well and has written a message in Morse code. She has also been using her Dads tape measure to find the tallest of 5 items and then compared their weight.
