    This week in nursery we have been working together to build a train track. We have made long ones and short ones and been to some great places like Cleethorpes, the zoo and town. Great team work.

  • Nursery Sports Day!

    Today was nursery sports day and we had an amazing time! We joined in activities such as javelin, long jump, hurdles, sprint and egg and spoon race. We all did such a good job, especially in the heat! Our teachers were so proud of us!

  • We All Go Travelling By

    We have been travelling to lots of different places in our role play area this week. Dubai, Turkey, Spain, McDonalds to name but a few. Sometimes we travelled by bus or train or aeroplane, not forgetting our passports and boarding cards !

  • Creating Bugs.

    To finish our topic on minibeasts the children have been creating their own using leaves, googly eyes and small sticks. They have also been using tweezers to place mop poms on butterfly wings. We hope you all have a lovely half term.

  • Minibeast Hunt

    Over the last two weeks we have been minibeast spotting in our nursery grounds. We found lots of bugs including bees, ladybirds, butterflies, ants, woodlice, flies and beetles. We were very gentle and didn't try to hurt them as we have been talking about that in our P4C session this week.

  • Minibeast Creations

    This week in nursery, our oldest children have been busy creating minibeasts using soft clay. They have made some fantastic creations using their imagination and physical skills to make butterflies, spiders, ladybirds, caterpillars and bees. What super stars!

  • Butterflies

    On Wednesday we released our five butterflies outside. We have loved watching their lifecycle, it has been fascinating to see them in the caterpillar, chrysalis and butterfly stage. It was very exciting to see them fly out of the net and away. We hope they come back to visit the nursery grounds soon!

  • Flower Threading.

    This week in nursery we have enjoyed threading flowers into cardboard vases. We talked about the shapes and colours of the petals. Some were tricky but we tried hard and the results look great.

  • VE Day Celebration

    This week we have been making cornflake buns to eat at our VE day celebration, which we had today. All the children in nursery got to eat a bun and the children who stayed for lunch ate outside with the F2s. It was lots of fun!

  • Spring Walk

    Over the last 2 weeks we have been on a Spring walk outside school in either our nursery grounds or just outside school. We spotted lots of signs of Spring including blossom on the trees, flowers growing and the sun in the sky. The oldest nursery children compared the grounds to what we saw in Autumn and Winter, they talked about how the leaves turned different colours and fell off the trees in Autumn and that there were no leaves on the trees in Winter. What great learning guys!
