Y5 Geography and D&T

What a fantastic and active week's learning we have had in Year so far this week!

We began a new topic in Geography, flooding. Using globes, atlas and O.S. maps, we began to learn all about London and Sheffield. 

In D&T, we started to think about creating chassis and axles to create a car. Then, we had to put our problem-solving skills to the test, being given a straw and a balloon and trying to get our car to move independently. The learning was amazing with so many different solutions found. We had very proud teachers in both classes!
