We have an exciting visit to the National Space Centre planned for Tuesday 21st January!
To learn how to work collaboratively, we tried to create an information paper about our school. The only rule was that they all had to work on the poster at the same time! Next week, we will try to work collaboratively online, hopefully it will be a little bit easier!
On Friday, a group of Year 5 and 6 children, who had previously read the shortlisted books, attended this year's award ceremony. They were full of smiles as they purchased books, met authors and even got some autographs.
Children in Need is Friday 15th November, on the same week as anti-bullying week
Today, we learnt about Queen Boudicca of the Iceni tribe and the revolt she led against the Romans in 61AD.
We went outside and recreated the scenes of Queen Boudicca preparing her troops for battle and then attacking Camulodunum (modern day Colchester)
In art, our focus has been on strong mark-making.
We have used 4HB pencils and been in competition with the maps to make sure our drawings stand out.
Here are some of the amazing Mount Vesuvius home learning we have received so far. It isn't too late, you can hand yours in at any point up to half-term.
Next week, we are looking forward to eruptions taking place in some of them!
To celebrate Halloween and create a spooky atmosphere at our cosy read, it is dress up day… if you dare!
