... And we did find a big one! We had such a busy day bear hunting. We searched in the plants, around the botanical gardens, and kept an eye out for it whilst we ate our lunch, and it was nowhere to be seen. Until, we walked through the deep dark woods and there we found a cave . . . And in the cave there was a great big bear!
We had so much fun! But bear hunting was tiring work.
We have had such a lovely first few weeks settling into F2.
Last week we went to explore Amy's garden. We played games and collected different leaves and sticks. It was really lovely. We can't wait to go and explore again!
Weather permitting; F2 will be visiting the Botanical Gardens, Sheffield, on Tuesday 6th October 2026. The visit is to go on a Bear Hunt. We plan to set off at 9:00am, so please make sure your child is in on time. We hope to return by 2:30pm. The children will be travelling to Botanical Gardens by bus. The visit may be rearranged in the event of poor weather.
We are planning to attend Whirlow Hall Farm, Sheffield on Wednesday 21st October 2026 to look at the animals. We will be travelling via coach and plan to leave school at 9:15am and return at 3pm.
We are planning a visit to perform at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, on Tuesday 20th October 2026. We plan to leave school at 12.30 so your child needs to be in school for the normal time. We will be travelling to the Crucible theatre via bus, and have lunch in school as soon as we return. We aim to return to school by 3.00pm, traffic permitting.
We are planning an exciting visit to Grenoside Woods to participate in a Natural Art Session on Wednesday 1st July 2026.
We filled our golden coin jars, so we had a dress-up party. We had a great time!
We said goodbye to our butterflies and watched them fly away.

As part of our learning about Aren’t Animals Amazing, we are very excited to be planning a visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Wednesday 8th July 2026.
