25.09.26 Learning
This is the first whole week we have had without a visit or special event. As they have every week, the children have really smashed it and have achieved some amazing things!
Writing
This week, we have done a 4-day unit based all around the animation ‘Alma’. The children have been so engaged and have loved watching the animation in three stages. It is very creepy and the writing they have done around it is so descriptive and perfectly reflects the mood of the text; whilst also using a range of grammatical features and vocabulary choices.
Secret Project
You may have seen our teaser blog post or posters on the windows at school. You may even have heard about it from your children. We have been using decoupage to create our own frames and have some amazing images to put inside them. They will be on sale during parents’ evening and we can even take orders for more if you want some top-notch, personalised Christmas presents!
Y6GH
This week’s postcard is for Kareem. He has been so positive in all his learning and we are so proud of him. He is trying really hard, particularly with his handwriting and sentences in writing. Keep it up Kareem! Our Star of the Week is for Kurt. He is such a positive member of our class and is so supportive to others.
Y6KH
This week’s postcard goes to Robyn – Be positive. Robyn shows a consistently positive attitude to all aspects of learning. She always has a smile on her face and is good role model for other children. The Star of the Week is Ellie May. She is just utterly delightful and a great member of the class!
Y6 PE Star of the Week
This week’s PE Star is from Y6KH. Oliver Barton you were an excellent team player – competitive but not aggressive! Well done.
We also want to acknowledge how hard the children are working towards their target of passing all their times tables and getting their faces on the rocket. Whether they are yet to meet their aim yet or not, they are dedicating a lot of effort into it and celebrating each other for each achievement.
