Friday Superstars

It was the children’s first attempt at their Friday tests this week. They have all given it a really good go. Every Friday, they will complete a CLIC and Beat That test and be sent home with a CLIC gap which is focussed on a question they got incorrectly on the test. This is for the children to take home and practise using this sheet.

CLIC Y3JB – Some top top scores this week and every tried really hard whatever score they got. I’m not going to mention any individuals this week as I’m really proud of all of them and how much they have remembered from Year 2.

CLIC Y3KB-  Some really good scores with the children completing their first Y3 CLIC test of the year. A fantastic effort from Rowan, Seth and Adam who all scored full marks without any help! The children have now been shown how to answer all the questions on the test.

Beat That Y3JB-  Just like with our CLIC, I’m really proud of all the effort made by everyone this week.  Superstar mention to Cayde and Alabbas for scoring over 20 and to Ruby G, JJ, Arlo, Muqeet, Eshaal, Heidi M, Oscar,Ruby W, Tyler and Savannah who all scored 10 or higher.

Beat That Y3KB-  All of the children gave this a really good effort. It was their first time completing a Beat That test in 60 seconds. A special mention goes to Seth who managed to answer 24 out of 24 correctly. Well done to Jesse, Jibraeel, Adam, Hunter, Seth, Rowan, Ezrah and Harvey who all scored 10 or higher.

Postcards

Y3JB - I won’t reveal ours this week as they were absent which means two postcards next week!!

Y3KB - Olivia for such a fantastic star in Year 3. She has made careful choices by listening to instructions, working hard and being a general help around the classroom.

PE Star - Goes to Darcie for great perseverance and motivation during PE which led to her winning the game!

Weekly reads:

All children have been given learning journals to record their reads. We ask for the children to aim to read 4 times a week and record it on the relevant page which can be done by the children themselves or the adults at home. Well done to those children who have already done some reading this week!

Y3JB- All the children spent Thursday afternoon finding books in our classroom that they enjoyed and they could take home to read.  Super special mention to the following children who have all done 4 or more reads this week: Muhimin, Darcie M, Ruby G, Arlo, Muqeet, Heidi M and Lexi.

Y3KB- A mention to Jesse, Hunter, Anabiyah, Seth, Jood, Sky and Ezrah who all recorded at least 1 read in their journals this week after only being given the journals yesterday! We are hoping for lots more next week now that all children have been given a learning journal.
