19th June 2026

It has felt like a very speedy week this week due to the INSET day and our transition days. We still packed in the learning around it 😊

Science

This week, we began our learning about teeth! We learnt we have three different types of teeth and they all have varied jobs! The different teeth types allow us to eat a broad diet: molars for chewing and grinding, canines for tearing and ripping, incisors for cutting and biting. Carnivores and herbivores have differing teeth due to their diet. It was actually really interesting!

Clean Air Day

Thursday was a sea of green as we celebrated Clean Air Day. It was great to see so many of our children on the yard, meeting the mascots, grabbing a piece of fruit and watching the smoothie bike in action! We learnt a lot in the short assembly too.

Y4GH

This week’s postcard is for Hakimah. She thoroughly deserves the ‘Value Being Special’ postcard, as I could award her any postcard on any week. She is just utterly amazing!

Y4 PE Star of the Week:

Our PE star of the week is from Y4GH. It goes to Rakaan for being chosen as a group leader for following the instructions in the warm-up game and also taking his captain skills seriously and keeping score and motivating his team in super rounders!

Y4MB

Our postcard of the week is for Harrison. He can Make Links to anything in any lesson and it helps us all. Thank you, Harrison.
