12th June 2026

A busy week!

Another fantastic week, with lots of different events and resilience needed – particularly with both swimming and sports day on the same day!

Sports Day

Sports Day was an amazing afternoon. The children were so resilient even the weather just couldn’t make its mind up! They cheered on all the others on their team, and others too! They gave it their all and were so patient in between their events. We were so proud of each and every one of them!

Y4 Multiplication Checks

This week was the one we had been building up to with our times tables. The official tests all took place on Monday, and every single child worked really hard over the 25 questions to apply all the knowledge we have been using. They entered into it positively and after about two minutes it was all done! Well done Y4 – you continuously do us proud!

Science

What a lesson we had this week! Completing the digestion experiment! What happens when you take digestive biscuits, a banana, orange juice and water and introduce them to a food bag and a pair of tights?! Digestion and poo of course! The children massively enjoyed re-enacting what happens to the food we eat and how it gives us energy. Ask them what we did – it was so informative but also brilliant!

Y4GH

This week’s postcard is for Teegan. She makes Careful Choices in every piece of learning she does. The care she took when completing the disgusting digestion re-enactment with her group was awesome!

Y4MB

Our postcard of the week is for Harrison. He can Make Links to anything in any lesson and it helps us all. Thank you Harrison.
