Another wet and wonderful week!
Writing
Over the last two weeks, we have been learning about different ecosystems across the world. The first week we learnt about Antarctica, and facts such as it being the most southern and coldest continent. This week, we have been writing about grasslands (or savannas, prairies and steppes, depending on where they are!) As well as writing non-chronological reports, we have been concentrating on sentence structure and vocabulary choices.
Design and Technology
We are getting to the really exciting part of designing our torches, making informed decisions about which materials we want to use and which switches are the best fit for purpose. We then worked really hard to draw and label a cross-sectional diagram, recording our choices. They are extremely impressive!
