Y4 Arithmetic Support
We complete a weekly CLIC test, where your child have a CLIC gap to complete each week. We also have recently completed a Y4 arithmetic test. Below is the link to videos that can help you.
During lockdown, we filmed videos to assist with CLIC questions to use alongside WAGOLLs (what a good one looks like). The video is old but the methods don't change! During parent's evening you may get some feedback on which arithmetic questions your child could do with more help on. The videos will help - it will be like having Mrs Heaver in your house! Below are the timings of each type of arithmetic in the video.
Finding fraction, decimal, percentages: 0.30 - 1.44
Rounding to the nearest 1000: 2.20 - 4.07
Ordering 2 decimal place numbers: 04.08 - 5.17
Multiplication (3 digit x 1 digit): 5.18 - 7.08
Division (bar method): 07.08 - 08.48
Multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000: 8.49 - 11.41
Converting into digital time: 13.05 - 14.36
Column addition: 14.36 - 15.34 (don't forget to put the digits into the correct columns and adding the exchanged digits!)
Column subtraction: 15.34 - 16.49 (don't forget to put the digits into the correct columns and adding the exchanged digits!)
Adding like fractions: 16.50 - 17.44
