Friday 12th December

Well done to you all. Superstars!

How are we on the penultimate week to the Christmas holidays, this term has FLOWN by! Your children are tiring now from all the hard work they have been putting into everything and the progress they are making. They will have truly deserved their Christmas break when it arrives.

Design and Technology

The end is in sight with our boxes, and we cannot wait for you to see the process we went through at the Design and Technology exhibition we are holding in the spring term. The children have really enjoyed creating the aesthetics of the boxes with water colours, colouring pencils and oil pastels and it helps that the theme is Christmas!

Maths

On our weekly CLIC tests, one of the most elusive questions is multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000. This week and last week we have been learning about this in our main maths lessons and we have cracked it! We are so, so proud and know that the CLIC tests will reflect it today. We have also been linking our exceptional multiplication knowledge to multiplying 3 digits by 1 digit.

Y4GH

Blake is being awarded our postcard this week and it is ‘Be Positive’. Blake is an excellent learner and works so hard all the time. This week, particularly, I couldn’t have done without her. She is being so helpful with jobs (as always) but has also really taken on the responsibility of helping out her classmates too; whether this be with learning or getting a resource they need. In our design and technology lesson she took upon herself to distribute all the resources, without needing to be asked. She is amazing!

Reading: I just want to do a special shoutout to the class. 29 out of our original 30 children have met and exceeded the 40 read limit – some by a huge margin. We are the only class in school to have such high numbers and we are super, super proud!
