W/E 21st Nov

Another fantabulous week!

Only one more week until it is December – this term is speeding along!

Cycling

16 children took part in the exciting opportunity to enhance their existing cycling skills this week, with playground cycling skills sessions. They were super confident and represented Watercliffe Meadow beautifully! Watch out for another opportunity opening up for riders who need a bit of an extra boost. This will really help the children in the run up to our Thornbridge residential!

Design and Technology

We are half way through our autumn design and technology unit. Our design brief is to design, make and evaluate a treat box for families that protects what is inside and looks attractive. We are learning all about what a shell structure is, and this week we practised our typography skills and used a range of media for colour.

Religious Education

In RE, we have been learning about the bible story of the Pentecost. The children have been able to retell the main events of the story, as well as pose questions about it. Their summarising outcome this week was to produce an image that showed the main details of the event and explain why they chose it.

Y4GH

The recipient of the postcard this week is Parker. She has been so positive and coming in ready and raring for the day! She is really growing in confidence with sharing her learning and we are super proud of her – the ‘Be Positive’ postcard is for you, Parks!

Y4MB

Our postcard of the week is for Heidi for Make Careful Choices. In class, around school and in everything she makes the right choice and she always does it with a big smile on her face!
