What another amazing week!
Maths
This week, we finished our addition and subtraction block and the children have been working so hard. Most of us have mastered the column written method and could even apply it to word problems. Mr B and Mrs Heaver are so impressed with their use of bar models too! It’s the best year group we have had for these so far.
Science
In our final lesson on States of Matter, the children learnt about the four main processes of the water cycle: condensation, precipitation, surface run off and evaporation. They then created a mini-water cycle in a zip lock bag!
Author Visit
We had Andy Stanton in this week, the amazingly funny author of the Mr Gum series! The children spent nearly an hour with him in the hall and he had them excitable and laughing the whole way through. More than one child came out of the session completely inspired!

Ezmae is being given the ‘Feel Proud’ postcard this week. She has been engaging positively in the classroom with her peers, and working really hard in all her learning. She also had an amazing time during her first visit to the Meadows and should be proud of the smiles she put on people’s faces!
