10.05.24 Learning

We have had another fabulous week of learning.

What another wonderful week - even though it was a short one due to the bank holiday. The weather has certainly helped keep us all bright! In our science lessons, we have dissected and labelled the flower of a tulip. This is helping us learn about pollination in our next lesson! In writing, we wrote our persuasive letters and in maths we have begun our two week time block.

In Y3GH, our Star of the Week is Romario for having a really positive week - and focussing on his learning. Our learning principle postcard goes to Ellie May, for 'Learn Together' as she is using the amazing support around her in the classroom to work really hard on her learning and to try her very best.

The CLIC test was a tricky one this week, with comparing fractions using the less than, more than and equal to symbols! Despite this, 7 children got full marks - including Olly for the first time! Well done also to Aklil, Corey, Naom, Darcie, Robyn and Aseel. Bayan, Oba and Romario also matched or beat their previous scores. What great progression! In our Beat That test, Aklil, Corey and Aseel all tried their hand at two tests to get a score out of 48 - they are really challenging themselves - so well done to you! Olly, Kamari, Oba, Romario, Lewis, Maisie, Antoni, Darcie, Robyn and Hannah all increased or matched their previous high score! Such a successful week!

From the spelling test last week, 12 children got 10/10; which were: Amina, Aklil, Naom, Bryan, Lewis, Charlie, Holly, Darcie, Robyn, Muadh, Aseel and Ivy - fantastic effort!

Summer got the badge for Y3SB today - her second one this year! She has been super kind to others and really tried her best to make good choices. We are all so proud of her and she should be proud of herself too!

Star of the Week in Y3SB goes to Shayla, who despite being ill, has made a great effort both in learning at home and learning in school. She has been a leading example to others this week. Well done Shayla!

In CLIC, we had 6 children get 11 again this week. Well done to Bobby, Jessica, Mia, Finn, Olivia and Reon! We had a much better average this week too, which means more children are getting more questions correct!

In Beat That, a well done goes to Narin, Bobby and Reon who got 24/24. Archie, Abdul, Kareem, Koby, Calia, Olivia and Summer all equalled their best score too or beat it. Well done everyone!

Unfortunately we still have a lots of children without a single read this term. But Summer has made her first reads of this term! PLease keep reading at home!

Have a lovely weekend everyone and see you on Monday!
