Week ending 25th April
As always, the children have impressed us this week!
Another fabulous week in the bag for the amazing Y4s!
Swimming:
We are going strength-to-strength in our swimming sessions. We even touched upon some water safety this week. Next week, we are going to wear shorts and t-shirts over our swimming costumes and practise what it would be like if we fell into water fully clothed and how we can keep ourselves safe!
Science:
This week, we completed our second component of our Living Things and their Habitats. We have begun to think about classification and how this happens using a branching diagram. We enjoyed reading Lots of Dots and then used it to come up with classification criteria and sort them. See our displays on a Wednesday morning for more detail.
Y4GH:
Star of the Week is for Narin. She could be our star EVERY week! She is so hard-working and a wonderful friend. Narin is a fantastic member of our class!
Bilal is receiving the ‘Be Positive’ postcard this week. He has had a much more positive week and has been putting in so much more effort into all of his learning.
Y4MB
The Learning Principle (Value Being Special) postcard was awarded to Muadh. His writing has improved so much this year. We are so proud of him improvement.
Star of the Week is Fasiha. She works so hard, as a kind heart and is always smiling and saying hello to all members of staff.
PE Star of the Week: This week, Ethan-Smith Reynolds is the PE star of the week. He showed excellent effort and good application.
CLIC:
Y4GH: Keenan, Charlie, Orlando, Harrison, Reon, Esmai, Bobby, Layla, Jessica, Mia, Ashton, Sonny and Narin all scored 12/12. Kurt was so close with 11/12. Well done!
Y4MB: Aklil, Charlie, Darcie, Corey, Ethan SR, Maisie, Amina and Robyn all scored 12/12! Bayan, Olly, and Ivy all scored 11. Excellent!
Beat That:
Y4GH: Archie top scored with 44!! These children beat their score from last week: Summer, Calia, Levia, Mia, Sonny, Narin, Alyssiah and Finn. Well done to all of you!
Y4MB: Aklil top scored with 94! These children all scored improved on last week’s score: Amina, Olly, Corey, Naom, Maisie, Sharon, Holly, Darcie, Robyn, Thanos, Ethan SR and Ivy – well done!
